CREDIT CARD TEST
We've created a simple, no-questions-asked technique to evaluate the difference between normal wear and tear and actual damage. Basically, if the exterior or interior damage can be hidden with a credit card, it passes the test and is not chargeable damage (subject to Vehicle Conditions Guidelines, glass and lenses are not applicable). Check out how it works with our online credit-card test.

VEHICLES CONDITIONS GUIDELINES
To ensure your peace of mind as your lease nears its conclusion, we want you to fully understand our guidelines for vehicle maintenance and wear.
  • Under normal lease terms, you agree to have your Mercedes-Benz serviced as recommended by the manufacturer. The specifics are fully laid out in your Owner's Manual.
  • Your "excess wear and tear" obligations are clarified through the Vehicle Condition Guidelines. They explain when excess wear and tear is considered damage.
  • To be sure your driving experience is safe as well as pleasurable, anything that makes your vehicle unsafe or unlawful to operate is also considered damage. This is in your lease agreement as well.
  • In an effort to ensure your vehicle is in the best condition possible for the next owner, we ask that you return the tool kit, keys and portfolio containing your complete Maintenance Booklet. As referenced in your lease agreement, a fee of $500 will be assessed if the Maintenance Booklet is missing upon turn-in.
LEASE-END OPTIONS
When your lease comes to an end you still have options. You can either purchase your vehicle through Mercedes-Benz Financial, design a new lease within two months of the scheduled end date, or return your vehicle.
